One Year Post-Doctoral Fellowship
in
Reconstructive & Cosmetic Gynaecology
- 1. What is this one year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cosmetic Gynaecology all about & Why the need?
Cosmetic Gynaecology has seen an ever-increasing patient & physician demand in recent pass. The procedures typically fall in reign of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, however, a few plastic surgeons have also developed great interest in this field globally. In Americas & Europe, gynaecologists, cosmetic surgeons and plastic surgeons have been providing these treatments to women now for quite some time. However, private practitioners only have been providing most of these procedures, and all the providing physicians have learnt it over short courses from other private practitioners, without any serious involvement of academia. None of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology residency programs world-wide presently teaches this subject matter in detail.
The only deep & serious in-roads into Cosmetic Gynaecology teaching & training in academia were made at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh in last decade where a 3 years post-doctoral M.Ch. Residency program was started under Professor Navneet Magon as the Founder Head of Division of Reconstructive & Cosmetic Gynaecology as well as Founder Program Director & Thesis Guide of M.Ch. Program in Cosmetic Gynaecology. Professor Magon curated a 3 years comprehensive full time residential teaching & training program in Reconstructive & Cosmetic Gynaecology, which finally got approved by National Medical Commission of India in 2020, establishing Cosmetic Gynaecology as a recognised subspeciality of Ob-Gyn. This laid the academic foundations of a new sub-specialty in Gynaecology with an aim to produce a physician completely trained in reconstructive and cosmetic gynaecological surgical & non-surgical interventions.
After Professor Magon left AIIMS Rishikesh in 2022, M.Ch. Cosmetic Gynaecology program was unable to continue because of non-availability of any other competent faculty to teach Cosmetic Gynaecology. Therefore, in order to continue the academic growth of Cosmetic Gynaecology, Indian College of Cosmetic Gynaecology (ICCG), which is the academic wing of The Society of Cosmetic Gynaecology of India, engaged Professor Navneet Magon as its Dean & Chief of Faculty and started both short-term & long-term training programs using the same curriculum & syllabus which Professor Magon had developed for M.Ch. program in Cosmetic Gynaecology at AIIMS. Based upon the varying needs of doctors from all across the world, training programs from 3 days to 3 years were established by ICCG and in last 2 years, more than 400 Obstetrician-Gynaecologists, Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists & Aesthetic Physicians have been trained at ICCG in Cosmetic Gynaecology making ICCG Trainings as the most successful training program in Cosmetic Gynaecology worldwide. ICCG currently offers a 3 days Diploma Course, a 5 days Masters Course & a full time residency fellowship upto 3 years duration, all of which are very successful and best in class training programs, fulfilling varying needs of different doctors. Doctors have come from U.S.A., Europe, Africa & other Asian nations besides each & every Indian State to get trained from Professor Magon at ICCG. Numerous fellows of Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) from U.K and also fellows of American College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (ACOG) from U.S.A. have come to India to get trained in Cosmetic Gynaecology at ICCG under Professor Magon.
A huge number of clinicians worldwide have been requesting to join a long-term fellowship program with ICCG, however, most of these are practicing clinicians and can’t leave their practices full time for a year or more required for a fellowship. But all of them definitely need more & consistent training for a long duration. Furthermore, almost 50% of our Master Grads were the ones who upgraded themselves after the ICCG Diploma, once again putting their trust on us after they were fully satisfied with the training goals achieved in Diploma Courses. But many of them, even after Masters wanted to continue training with ICCG for more time, but were unable to devote a full time for a 1 year program. A long term fellowship certification is also a need for many doctors to get placements in leading hospitals worldwide, for which ICCG had been getting requests for a long time to start a 1 year fellowship program, which should give the participants the flexibility to learn from the comforts of their own clinics and also give them an opportunity to not only have a hands-on training but also an additional opportunity to get the most ultimate mentorship in form of a preceptorship in their own operating theatres, where they are hand-held by none other than Professor Magon to make them operate as a first surgeon.
In view of the same, this one year post-doctoral ICCG fellowship program has been designed, which shall be able to serve the needs of most demanding & discerning clinicians worldwide to learn the art & craft of Cosmetic Gynaecology and also get the most prestigious fellowship under Professor Navneet Magon, the founder of the subspeciality himself.
This one-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Reconstructive & Cosmetic Gynaecology offers the highest level of certification & best training in Cosmetic Gynaecology which includes continuous one year training with monthly online sessions including didactic teaching, Journal Clubs, Seminars, Case Presentations, Case Discussions & Problem Solving Sessions, 4 sessions of hands-on training spread between world’s best equipped Cosmetic Gynaecology centres, the Elle Sante Centres located at Gurgaon – New Delhi NCR, Hyderabad & Mumbai as well as additional benefit of a preceptorship program where you shall be hand-held to operate on your patients at your own operating theatre and one-on-one training where you get to solve all your doubts with very intense & focussed training. It includes not only Cosmetic Gynaecology but also Urogynaecology / Reconstructive Gynaecology as well as Regenerative & Restorative Medicine.
Elle Sante Centres, where the trainings are imparted, are clinical partners of ICCG and are the only centres in the world approved by ICCG as well as European College of Cosmetic Gynaecology for best training in Cosmetic Gynaecology, let it be Diploma in Cosmetic Gynaecology, Masters Course in Cosmetic Gynaecology or Fellowship in Cosmetic Gynaecology
, mentored by the best gynaecologist Dr Navneet Magon, the world’s only university accredited teaching & training faculty in Cosmetic Gynaecology, and one of the world’s best vaginal rejuvenation, urinary incontinence and labiaplasty surgeon.
